Educational Presentation

This event is open to the public and will take place on Saturday, May 24. Contestants will be given specific assembly time and location at the Thursday orientation.

The judges will score your confidence and ability to convey information to an audience as well as your ability to engage the audience and answer questions. (see scoring system)

The purpose of this event is the presentation for International Mr Bootblack contestants is to show off your stage presence and public speaking ability to the judges and the audience.

You will have fifteen minutes to give a brief educational presentation about the Bootblacking skill of your choice, followed by a maximum of five minutes for questions from the judges and the audience. You will have five minutes to set up and five minutes to tear down, and no presentation technology will be provided.

Contestants will be guided by staff to the event, prepared by staff prior to beginning their presentation, and met by staff after the question and answer period has ended.

There is no requirement for your attire and you should choose something that you feel comfortable and confident in.
