IMBB Contest Judging

All scores from preliminary judging carry forward.

While the finalists are giving their speech (15% of final score), each judge writes down one score (0 to 75 - whole numbers only) for each finalist's presentation skills. Judges keep these score sheets until all finalists have presented their speech.

The tallymasters proceed as follows:

  1. Drop High and Low score for each contestant.

  2. Add remaining 3 scores to result in Speech Score. (0 to 225)

  3. Review for accuracy.

  4. Add the final scores for Bootblack Skill, Personal Interview, Educational Presentation, Personal Image, and Speech for a Total Combined Final Score (0-1500).

  5. Review for accuracy.

  6. Put the name of the highest scoring finalist in a sealed envelope marked WINNER

  7. Put the name of the 2nd highest scoring finalist in a sealed envelope marked 1ST RUNNER UP

  8. Put the name of the 3rd highest scoring finalist in a sealed envelope marked 2ND RUNNER UP

In the event of a tie at any placing (Winner, First or Second Runner-Up), refer to Procedure for the Elimination of Ties - IMBB Final Judging.
